Applications will be accepted year-round, with programs being awarded as funding is available. Each application will be evaluated by the WRF Evaluation Committee, which will notify successful and unsuccessful applicants on or by June 30th or December 31st. WRF is committed to providing successful applicants program funding up to a sum of $75,000 by 2023.

Culture

Culture is the basis of traditions, customs, protocols, values, spirituality, ceremonies, language, ways of knowing and being, and connections to the land and the life-sustaining resources of the land. Culture is the essence of who we are, who we belong to, where we come from, and how we relate to one another.

Community Support

Indigenous communities are more than just land or the people on it; they are the relationships with each other and the living ecosystems we call home. While Indigenous Peoples account for an average of only 6% of the world population, they consider approximately one-quarter of the earth’s land area as home and are the protectors of 80% of the biodiversity on the planet.
